Oddly, I was just reading Paul Pope's Strange Adventures (Adam Strange) in the Wednesday Comics this afternoon (well, it is a wednesday!) and thinking about posting about it.

Word verification is "Wingless".

verification = "sacksin" .... oooh erh...

I was well up for that Wednesday comic thing... mainly cos of Paul Pope, but also 100 Bullets folk on Batman - which always works for me...

My comic shop woefully underordered and only sorted mail order customers (pah... clearly my weekly visit of joie-de-vivre and bonhomie counts for nothing).

I was a bit cheesed off to be honest - hope they put it in a graphic novel - but would kind of miss the point I guess....

Don't like 100 Bullets; don't like Batman. LOL. Nothing new there lol.

Seriously, The Batman strip is incredibly dull. You haven't missed anything.

Pope's v. good. Kyle baker's Hawkman is v. good; ditto Kubert's Sgt. Rock; really lovely take on The Flash; Kamandi's good; don't like art on Green Lantern; beautiful Fradon-esque Mike Alred art on Metamorpho (but dull/worthy Gaiman script as usual); errm... what else? Not a bad package; tho a bit expensive. Beautifully printed.

It really wouldn't work as a 'Graphic Novel' (because of the format) and really I hope they don't do one. Graphic Novels and Trades suck ass majorly, but you jjust knew I'd say that.

Funnily enough it's taken me a while to warm to Pope's stuff; didn't like his Batman much; but I really like it now.

No, not his Batman (don't like anyone's Batman!), his art, dumpkoft!
